Half the house has tripped and they rang while your hands were in a consumer unit
You cannot answer, and they do not leave a message. LocalWins texts them back in seconds in your business name, finds out what has gone and where, and sends it to you so the fault call becomes your job, not the next electrician's.
How it works
- 1
Sign up and get your number
Two minutes. You get a LocalWins number in your business name and a taster line to try straight away, no card.
- 2
Divert your missed calls
Dial one code on your phone and calls you do not answer go to your LocalWins number. You keep your number and your phone.
- 3
Every missed call texted back
Within seconds the caller gets a text in your name asking what they need and where. You get the summary and ring back the right one first.
It does not just text back. It finds out the job, and books it if you want.
Hi, this is Hartley Electrical. Sorry we missed you, we are on a job. What is the problem?
Sockets in the kitchen and living room have gone dead, trip keeps going
Sounds like a fault on that circuit. Leave the trip off for now and unplug what is on it. What is the postcode?
LE10 0EH
Thanks. Mark will ring you back shortly to get you booked in. Reply here if anything changes.
Fault, circuit and postcode captured. Mark rang back from the van.
What it actually fixes
Fault calls go to whoever picks up
A tripping circuit is urgent to the person ringing. They try three numbers. If you are testing a board with both hands, you are not one of them.
The rewire enquiry you were too busy for
Bigger jobs ring once, in the day, while you are working. Every one of those callers is saved with what they asked for, so a rewire enquiry is not lost because it rang at ten past two.
Chasing certificates and EICRs
Landlords need an EICR every five years and forget every time. Mark the job won and the reminder goes out from your number when it is due.
The next job, already in the diary
Mark an EICR, a consumer unit or a PAT round as won and we text the customer when it is due again, from your number. Every morning we read the planning applications and new companies near you, so the loft conversion and the new unit that need first fix are on your phone first.
What it costs
Growth, £99 a month
Every missed call texted back in seconds in your name, the job and postcode captured and sent to your phone, jobs and appointments booked into your diary when you give us your booking details, every caller saved to your own list, reminders when work is due again, Google reviews asked for after each job, and the planning applications near you every morning. Free for 30 days, no setup fee.
Growth+, £199 a month
Everything in Growth, plus a website we build, host and look after for you. Free for 30 days, no setup fee.
It never gives electrical advice beyond keeping people safe, never promises a time, and hands anything urgent to you at once. You set what it may say.
Questions electricians ask us
Can it tell an emergency from a routine call?
It asks what has happened and where, and anything that sounds dangerous, a burning smell, a shock, exposed cables, is flagged to you immediately and the caller is told to stay clear and call 999 if there is a fire. It does not diagnose.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. You keep your number and your phone. We give you a second number and you divert missed calls to it with a code you dial once, so the only calls that reach us are the ones you did not answer.
Will customers know it is not me texting?
The text comes from a number in your business name and reads like you wrote it. It asks what the job is and where, tells them you will ring back, and never quotes a price or promises a visit unless you have told it to. You can read every conversation and take over any of them from your phone.
Can it book the job in for me?
Yes, if you want it to. Give us your booking link or your diary details and it offers the caller a slot and books the job or appointment in, with the details on your phone. Without them it captures the job and tells the caller you will ring back.
What about callers on a landline who cannot get a text?
Most callers ring from a mobile and get the text. A landline or withheld caller cannot, so you get an alert with the number to ring back, and if you want, an AI receptionist can answer those callers and take the details instead. Ask us to switch it on.
What does it cost?
Free for 30 days, then £99 a month for Growth, or £199 a month for Growth+ which adds a website we build and look after. No setup fee, nothing per lead, cancel any time before day 30 and you pay nothing.
